A DAY IN THE RENAISSANCE

Students are transported back in time and their social studies curriculum comesalive!

THE PROGRAM INCLUDES:

  • Renaissance dance and song with I Giullari di Piazza
  • The thrilling sport of falconry, demonstrated by our falconer flying his raptors inan open field
  • Overview of original works of Renaissance art in the House Museum
  • Performance of Commedia dell'Arte by I Giullari di Piazza with studentparticipation

BEFORE THE VISIT:
Teachers receive a workbook that describes the day's events, suggests classroomactivities, and gives ideas for costume and banner making. Both children and adultsare encouraged to come in costume.
