GETTING TO CARAMOOR
Caramoor is easy to get to by car, public transportation or Caramoor Caravan.

By car: from the West Side of Manhattan or New Jersey, take the Saw Mill River Parkway north to I-684 north to the exit for Route 35/Cross River. Turn right off the exit, and at the first traffic light turn right onto Route 22 south. Travel 1.9 miles and just past the John Jay Homestead on the left bear left onto Girdle Ridge Road. The entrance to Caramoor is half a mile down on the right. By train: from Grand Central Station, take the Harlem Division of the Metro-North Railroad to Katonah, New York. Click here for the current Train Schedule. Taxi service from the station to Caramoor (five minutes away) is available by calling 914-232-4949 or 914-232-5772.

By bus: During Caramoor's International Music Festival, concertgoers may take a luxurious air-conditioned bus to Caramoor on Saturdays and some Sundays. From Manhattan, passengers may take the Caramoor Caravan from the Port Authority Bus Terminal, the Symphony Space on the Upper West Side of Manhattan or the 92nd Street Y on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The schedule for the 2008 season will be posted in late January or early February 2008.


DINING AT CARAMOOR
Concert Refreshments: Light refreshments are served during the intermission of all Great Artists in the Music Room concerts. There are no refreshments served during Caramoor Classics concerts or during Family Music Programs.

Afternoon Teas: On Thursday and Friday afternoons, from May through October, spend an elegant afternoon enjoying Caramoor's scrumptious formal tea in the Summer Dining Room of the House Museum. For more details about Afternoon Teas click here.

Fine Dining During the Summer International Music Festival: Become a "Friend" of Caramoor at the Donor Level ($600 and above) and enjoy a relaxing prix fixe dinner in the Symphony Court near the Venetian theater before Saturday concerts, and after Sunday concerts, during the Summer International Music Festival. Picnicking During the Summer International Music Festival: During Caramoor's Summer International Music Festival, enjoy a relaxing pre-concert picnic amidst our beautiful gardens. Bring your own picnic, or order a prepared gourmet picnic from Great Performances one week in advance. No cooking or post-concert picknicking is permitted.
