These arts-in-education programs, held in the fall and early spring, are open to all teachers and administrators. They are designed with insightful and innovative teaching techniques to be personally enriching as well as supportive and inspirational for classroom instruction. 

SOME PAST  WORKSHOPS:

FALL 2007   JUSTIN HINES, Percussionist
The day included:

  • Introduction to Justin Hines as Percussionist
  • Rhythmic exercises
  • Finding, Creating, and performing rhythms from nature. 
  • A catered Lunch by Diane
  • A Mini-Concert by Justin
  • Drumming circle incorporating Middle Eastern, African, and Latin rhythms
  • Jam session  

East Meets West: 
A Musical Journey Along the Silk Road; India: Dance and Culture; Exploring Creativity Through Musical Composition; Moving, Vocalizing, and Art-Making; Building Layers of Understanding; Latin Rhythms and Traditions; New Instructional Strategies: Using Movement to Enhance Student Learning; Make It Up!!
